Go to pricing. Go to the fine print Lake Tahoe On Line now has wireless routed internet in the Truckee Area. If you can see Mt. Pluto (the Northstar ski runs) then you can probably get wireless. Service is now available in parts of Tahoe Donner, Glenshire, Olympic Heights, Gateway, Russel Valley and Donner Lake. Call to see if coverage is available in your area. Wireless internet connects you to the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no dialing or even a need for an extra phone line. Compared to 2.4 to 3.5 Kb/sec for a 28.8 kb/sec modem you can expect significantly higher download and upload speeds with this system. Average speeds are currently around 400 kb/sec. Unlike other high-speed internet solutions, wireless internet is bi-directional, meaning you get the same speeds for downloading and uploading. It is now affordable to connect your office to the internet using wireless internet and use your dialup account from home to access files on your office server - possibly saving trips to the office. In addition, wireless office to office or office to home-office connectivity is included at no charge to customers with multiple wireless installations. LTOL will install a PC based wireless router and antenna to the customer's building. The equipment is included as a lease under the monthly service agreement. Customer is responsible for providing power to the unit. Customer must also have an ethernet card in all computers to be hooked up. LTOL will sub-contract all inside cabling and network setup to JDC, a local computer service company. Any inside cabling and setup is not covered under the setup fees and will be billed at current rates - currently $65 per hour for LTOL customers.
A $1 service charge per billing cycle is charged on all accounts. Conditions/Limitations/Qualification
